absolute perfection

a beautiful achievement in film history. truly mesmerising and beautiful as well as tragic and horrifying. each scene feels like a visual spectacle. i don't think that any film which will be released this year is going to top this one. the third act of this film is just incredible and will definitely leave you speechless. this is what dreams are made of. this is why people love films. absolutely glorious and a film like this is released only once in a generation.

the cast is perfect. timothée chalamet deserves an oscar nomination for his performance as paul atreides. he was powerful, magnetic and he was born to play this role. zendaya is the heart and the heartbreak of this film. her eyes conveyed so many emotions and this is one of her best performances. javier bardem was incredible. rebecca ferguson was absolutely mystifying. josh brolin didn't get a lot of screen time but he performed well. dave bautista was terrific.

florence pugh was a really great addition to the cast and she really shines towards the end of the film. i want to see her character more in dune messiah and i'm sure i will as princess irulan plays an important role in the book. christopher walken was great as always. stellan skarsgård played the role of the baron perfectly. austin butler's performance is one of the best performances of this film. he was absolutely frightening as well as captivating.

hans zimmer's score is phenomenal and greig fraser's cinematography is stunning. the world of dune couldn't be portrayed on the big screen without him. the production design is breathtaking and the costume design is extraordinarily beautiful. the sound design is astounding and the visual effects team deserve everything good and right.

this is a life changing film. an instant classic. this feels nothing short of a miracle. denis villeneuve is truly the messiah of films. frank herbert would be so proud of him. i love how much denis loves this story and treats it with so much care and respect. i have always had faith in his craft and vision but after this, i care deeply about him and trust him completely. denis villeneuve, i bow down to you. i'm so grateful for everyone who made this beautiful film. bless the maker and his water. long live the fighters!
