Oh boy ... ANOTHER Pixar movie with the Cal- arts " grub hub" art style about ( getting in touch with your feelings, discovering where you really belong in life, learning to appreciate what you had and not wanting for more. ) *yawn*

Stolen is a solid debut from Karan Tejpal. The film starts with a kidnapping at a railway station, but what it really shows is how things can spiral when class differences, fake news, and a broken system all collide. The two main problems with this film are, first, that Kamal Haasan agreed to this screenplay written by Mani Ratnam based on his own story idea. And second, Kamal should be the one to write his own story because only he can express it the way it needs to be told. When someone else turns it into a full script, it loses something. For me, that’s a big reason why this film didn’t work.
