i could never hate a young kurt russel movie he’s such a genuinely entertaining, extremely charming man who was born for action flicks like this. i just wish i didn’t find it so damn boring. this concept is so freaking cool and interesting i’m surprised no one has tried rehashing it as a series or something that would be entertaining to see. as usual john carpenter NAILS his soundtracks it is a delight hearing those 80s synth gems coming out of my laptop while snake mutherfuckin plissken runs across the screen i just needed it to be more campy.
