Feeling warmer on this movie than the first time. The Final Reckoning was my most anticipated movie of the year, so of course whatever I imagined it could be wouldn't live up to what it is and an inevitable revisit would smooth some sharp edges over. A single movie, a part 2, and a finale to 30 years of impossible missions — will anything be enough? There are some major gaping flaws in this movie that will not get fixed…
Did my darndest to go spoiler-free, trailer-free, expectation-free as much as possible, but I couldn’t avoid hearing the rumblings ahead of this from voices I respect.
