I'm quite disappointed with this movie. My hopes were so high but it turns out to be a semi cash grab typical MI movie with heavy use of nostalgia and it doesn't have any emotional impact. Doesn't have any salable action piece. but second half is thrilling first half is boring and flat. Wasted Emotional part and silly monologues. Tom cruise fails to surprise us with anything new, just old stuff. Atmosphere was average. Nobody got moments to shine. Just a decent action adventure commercial movie. Considering that how This frenchise has tasted so many styles and masters from palma's classic Hitchcockian theatrical touch to John woo's massy style to underwhelming atmospheric neon themes of part 3 with mc's consistent joyful deliveries in part 4-7.
Aah this is End of an era.
So I want to add ½ star for whole series. As tribute and my fanboyism.

If they make any other prequal or sequel then this rating is definitely going down.
