i adored this movie, i adore Yelena. i think Yelena is carrying the MCU on her shoulders. but for now I will hold this like Black Widow - a rare gem within the MCU (which … hmmm. When I look at my favorite MCU movies it’s when they let women be full characters with complexity and depth)

if a werewolf movie isn’t using itself as an allegory for mental or physical illness, i don’t want it.
using the very american creature of a werewolf to tell a story about generational trauma and illness felt so grounded in the world we live in today. it’s a story about a man who is trying so hard to not become his father, but even before he’s turned we aren’t sure if he can shake the demons of his youth.
