Pretty generic love-triangle romcom elevated by the stunning footage of the Caspian Sea and the thrilling scenes of seafaring.

Semi-compelling concept that never really takes off like it should. Plot basically boils down to "what if a man stopped loving his wife?!?" – what a notion! Should've heightened the sci-fi elements instead of the melodramatic ones – ALTERED STATES did it better.

It's impressive that in a film with two Irish romantic leads, neither one of them is played by an Irishman.

Also they both sing, and Harry Connick Jr. doesn't.

Cinematic equivalent of the colour beige.
