this is a beautifully written story with able performances. i really ire celine song’s natural ability to deconstruct how humans interpret love & connection

i wish this movie was about the coffee shop couple. the first and last 30 min of this made up for the other 2hrs i had to sit through. there’s genuinely some really beautiful stuff at the very end of this though that i didn’t expect to get so choked up about.

This was actually really gripping for a political movie and managed to deliver some really fresh twists along the way. I was not expecting to like this at all but it really impressed me in its overall delivery of themes & performances

painfully slow & altogether just not that interesting. plus, once you factor in gosling’s odd southern accent and poor sound engineering it doesn’t make for a real fun flick

abysmal graphics but banger soundtrack wow

maybe this just wasn’t my thing but i can really appreciate the originality of the story. took awhile for me to get into it but once they handed preacher boy the guitar i was locked innnnn

Shit goes so hard every season. Literally the best show ever go & argue with the wall. I wish I could go back and rewatch it for the first time. It’s seriously one of the strongest pieces of television I’ve ever seen when it comes to character development, dialogue, and narrative arcs each season. It blows my mind & I wish it got more recognition. I will be seated time after time again for this show- mark my words !!

This is pretty tame in the grand scheme of things. I really appreciated the mix of camp with the subject matter but I never fully bought into their “relationship.” It seemed very one-sided & I wish we could’ve seen more from his perspective to counter this

manages to peel back a lot of concepts pertaining to layered intimacy. already craving a rewatch

I’m not lying when I say this movie is in an entirely different league. Linklater is one of my favorite directors & I’ve been dying to watch this one ever since I learned of it. What I ire so much about him is that it’s very apparent he treats his sets as a theater production rather than a film one. This particular piece from him is a prime example of that. He manages to infuse all of his work with such a heightened sense of human nature it’s insane, so so good!!!

This tackles a lot more mature themes than I . I think kids movies are definitely missing this kind of stuff nowadays. builds character lol

I’ve always felt a deep iration for queer culture & given current U.S. politics, I think it’s more important than ever that we remind ourselves of the people and the works of art that came before us that have continuously pioneered for these communities 🌈

the very first time I watched this i just being completely captivated by Yura Borisov’s performance. upon my third watch, my feelings remain the same. there’s such subtlety in his character’s mannerisms & he gives so much depth to a nearly mute character. i truly don’t think the story would be as successful as it is without him being the one to bring Igor to life. 
I’ll never get over—

no chemistry. not funny. poor conceptual monster makeup design. black swan wannabe. just stupid.

it’s like they didn’t even try to hide the fact that this is roughly 4-5 disney plus episodes shoved together. even the character framing screams lower budget

the extroverted overcompensation to distance oneself from depression and grief… kieran culkin you really knocked this one out of the park. this is one of those movies that i think is important for everyone to watch once in their lives. a poignant case study exploring how life’s journey can take on different forms for different people

there’s a lot here that i really enjoy… & there’s a lot here that i don’t. never felt very connected with these characters. if luca hadn’t directed this i fear no one would really be talking about it

“Isn’t everything we do in life a way to be loved a little more?” 

Every time I revisit this movie I can’t help but think about how much I have (or haven’t) changed as a person since seeing it last. With each ing season comes new people, new experiences, and new loss. Despite those challenges this movie stays the same. The story never changes but the messages I take from each scene shifts.

I find comfort in knowing that despite the life I’m living, the feelings I take away from this film will cling to me no matter the form, or context of current situations. This film embodies the art of longing, needing, yearning, wanting something. Whether that something is love, meaning, religion, identity, etc, it just depends on what you need at the time of viewing it.

it’s not necessarily bad but i don’t understand what the audience, or frankly, the characters, are supposed to take away from this sequel? i like the concept of exploring arthur’s lens of life through musical fantasies but when put altogether the pieces just don’t fit right

i watched this expecting an ultra cornball spectacle but walked away with an oddly touching piece on death & identity. it’s weird & wacky, but charming nonetheless!
