This is a clinic in acting and writing. 
When you combine one of the best director/writers of all time with some of the best actresses of all time, you are going to get greatness. 
This only left me wishing there was more Bergman & Bergman collaboration.

A staggering feat of television. The best visual media transcends something we simply consume.

Wanted to love this movie but it just drags and a waste of really cool martial arts choreography

Julianne Moore is a phenomenal actress and this performance is her magnum opus but come on y’all this film boring af

Werner Herzog is definitely one of the greatest things to happen to film and cinema. 

He has an autistic level obsession of putting the audience right in the thick of the story. You sit there and watch his movies and think ‘oh my god they actually did that’. The man is a mad man, genius and pioneer.

Arguably the film that had most impact on me in my life. My childhood favourite and still to this day one of my all time favourite movies. 

A masterpiece of animated cinema. A shame a sequel was never made but I’m glad this film can stand the test of time and remain as a beautiful story for generations to come.

There are movies that beg so hard to be something and miss the mark. There are movies that are half-arsed and pure fodder. What Friedkin is the master of is that his movies are always *exactly* what they set out to be. His vision is always executed perfectly. 
This is as 80s as it can get with that beautiful, classic Friedkin ‘fuck you’ element to it. One of my GOATs.

I thought how polarising could this film really be? Good art direction but with some lame as fuck screenplay. At times a cheap Lynch rip-off, other times something at least testing the boundaries of crime dramas.

Fascism reaches into the very heart of a country and tears it out without a shred of mercy. In its wake it leaves behind trauma that takes decades to heal. 
We must continue to honour and those brave enough to stand up to fascist regimes all around the world. 
Rubens Paiva, you are honoured.

HOWEVER, something is bothering me in the sense that the movie has been, in a sense, depoliticised.

Was always gonna be mid as mid can be, but man it really got my nostalgia going for Fox Studios Marvel. Many fond memories of going to watch those movies at the cinema with my loved ones
