Not great, but I also didn’t hate it. There was a lot of running back and forth. But I liked the daughter (extremely cute lisp imo) and her relationship with the dad, and damn, the wife was tough when it came down to it, so props to her. But it definitely needed some tightening up, and either a deeper story or more emphasis on the effects, like full-on creature feature. It never went quite far enough in any direction.

Can’t understand all the negative reviews that claim this film is a “mess” or impossible to understand - the film’s themes are pretty clear if you’re paying any attention at all.
It’s a (purposely) campy, often surreal, very unique take on contemporary issues, while also managing to be a total vibe. Loved it.

How does a movie about accidental, unwanted pregnancy exist in 2022 and not even mention the possibility of abortion? No discussion whatsoever??? I know this was a romcom and that’s not exactly light, but come on, neither is forced pregnancy. This movie made motherhood seem like the *much less appealing* possibility anyway so I really don’t know what the writers were attempting to convey. Lily Reinhart is adorable and great but this just wasn’t it.
