I knew absolutely nothing going into this film, and was extremely jaded with Marvel since disengaging post-Endgame, but this was surprisingly good. Well acted, and a really interesting/unique concept for a superhero movie. Such a fun film and was a good watch; It makes me want to actually keep up with the new films if it's more of this quality!

Such an excellent film. The soundtrack in particular is so good that I listen to it now regularly. It's such a good film that takes a very popular concept (vampires) and puts them in a completely new and fresh story and concept, which means it was so interesting and unique regardless of how common vampire stories are.

Almost completely incoherent, but also an enjoyable watch. I really loved the ending, even if it made almost zero sense, but I like to imagine they all had a happy ending. I wasn't expecting this to have lesbians, but I am very glad it did lol, it was a nice surprise. It has made me think so much and analyse the meaning/symbolism, which means the film is engaging me lol. I like how a lot of the concept was just implied and you could draw your own meaning from it.

As an autistic person, I feel complex feelings about this movie. The landscapes and general Americana was all so beautiful, and the earnest moments where Charlie wants to / tries to care for Raymond are tender and genuinely heartwarming, but also it's all just so laden with stereotypes about autistic people. I know it was probably groundbreaking at the time to show an autistic character who had any sort of """"""worth to neurotypical society""""" (like how autistic people are only seen as useful if they're maths geniuses 🙃) but watching it now as an actual autistic person who ISN'T a maths genius is just like. Idk. Feels very pejorative. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it on some level.

Such a unique, fresh, and iconic film. Actually hilarious, with a really underexplored concept and an awesome soundtrack. I didn't even realise the actual of the band were playing themselves, cause to me they ed as actors!! Will be streaming Kneecap's music for the rest of time.

Adam Driver is always a great actor it seems, but for such an important and horrifying part of US history, this film manages to be extremely dry and austere. It keeps you at arm's length and makes the story extremely bureaucratic, which I don't doubt it was like in real life, but makes for an overall not-very-engaging film.

Absolutely excellent film. Is so powerful in the implication; In what is not said. Excellent cinematography&framing of scenes, and in particular the soundtrack is brilliant, perfectly capturing the uncomfortable dread of the story unfolding. The ending was particularly superb. Every scene in this film felt necessary and extremely powerful.

This is the most painfully 2008 thing I have ever watched. There are no words. I'd give zero stars, but Brandon T. Jackson absolutely carried this film, and these 2 stars are for him and him only.

This movie was honestly really interesting, I didn't expect to find it so interesting. And the fact it's true is also another layer of fascinating. It was also really interesting to kind of observe a plot through the "antagonist's" eyes. However the music wasn't exactly engaging, and it did feel a bit montage-y to me (lots of stock footage during scene transitions)

I really liked the soundtrack and the colours, but that mohawk really did not suit him. Also, I really didn't expect the ending, so that was interesting. Idk, I get that the whole 'blokes have mental illness' thing was probably extremely novel in the 1970s, and I enjoyed the cinematography, but a lot of this feels very antiquated now.

A funny, albeit very dark, comedy. The characters and concepts are ridiculous in nature, which helps to prevent the film veering into more offensive and hurtful territory. However, this movie was also deeply sad. The competition between the men to try and one up each other, to try to seem as the 'leader' of the group in such a miserable context, is saddening to watch. Obviously not in a way of pitying them, but more in the sense of 'they think they're willing to die for this', and how sad it is that they think it's a good idea/that they believe it. Really good satire. Plus the Aphex Twin at the end was a melancholic touch.

Decent concept, a few funny jokes, and obviously held much more narrative weight than the other movie I saw on the same day (minecraft movie). Didn't really feel suspenseful to me, there were no scary/horror elements apart from the occasional kill, but i didnt find myself really rooting for the characters since Jenna Ortega's character was going to be safe regardless, as established at the start. However Will Poulter was excellent in this, very comedic - a character it's very easy to hate.

Was almost so bad that it was good. All actors involved were hamming it up. Felt like 7 different movies that had been frankensteined into one two-hour film of total chaos. Was buried between layers and layers of irony and sarcasm. Extremely visceral too - at one point Malgosha straight up murders a piglin child and this is shown onscreen. Not only this, but the evil mobs were honestly terrifying at some points, and their deaths were pretty brutal. In particular, the zombies have rather violent, albeit non-gory, deaths.
However I am OBSESSED with the gay love story subplot between Steve and Garrett.

Absolutely brilliant film. So bleak, but not in the hopeless sense - tragic, but doesn't feel like it's miserable for misery's sake. The sound track was amazing, and the story was so complex and fascinating. New top 4 addition for sure. Another brilliant aspect for me was that the movie felt like the perfect length of time, not drawn out, and every scene felt so important and mattered.

I shouldn't have watched this while I felt sick because this film made me feel even more sick. Something about it made me feel genuinely queasy. Did not enjoy it at all. Confusing, every set was so cluttered and stressed me the hell out. Completely hopeless, because in the end nothing changed so it was all fruitless. Couldn't stand the kidnap and manhandling of the female character only for her to fall in love with the main guy afterwards. You could really tell this film was inspired by a French film, I can't explain, it was just mental.

Somehow manages to be better than the first one, but in a different way. The first one had a much better score and so much more intrigue / intensity, but I did like the improvements here mostly (Sarah's character development, the fact there was an updated version of a Terminator as the villain in this one). Near the end the fight scene felt like it was taking ages, but the ending did manage to make me sad, still.

Omg, this movie was so good. The soundtrack was great especially, and all the prosthetics/practical effects were so good too, and gave a lot of life to the movie. I always love a movie about robots, and this one was cool as hell.

Excellent film, I don't know how I've gone so far into my life without seeing it. All actors were brilliant, and the film doesn't rely on cheap gore to scare you, only showing it when necessary. Jodie Foster in particular was excellent, but tbh she's always excellent.

Really excellent film with so many concepts explored. I especially liked the ending; I don't know why, but I expected the last 30 minutes to be a big fight (Marvel style?) and I was pleasantly surprised when the ending of the film was unique and still interesting. The post-film clips of real life protests were visceral and really showed how barely anything has changed since the 70s.

Plus 70s fashion is always great.

Omfg this film was hilarious but I don't think it was meant to be. I love zombie films but this one was... certainly something. The characters were really annoying and didn't act like how people actually would act in these situations :/ I was physically incapable of rooting for them. Plus the shaky cam was so overused omfg. Still love the themesong though

Such a good film, I was really rooting for the main cast the whole way through. Not laugh-out-loud funny, but very witty at parts and tongue-in-cheek. My personal conspiracy is that Billy and Sam were a gay couple lol

Such a uniquely sad and beautiful film. This film gave me such a specific feeling of melancholy that I've never felt before while watching a movie. It gave me some kind of overwhelming nostalgia, but also gave me such a hopeless feeling. Amazingly acted and I loved all the landscapes.

Definitely a good film, and even though I knew the ending through 30 years of cultural osmosis, the ending still managed to be shocking to me. The film's atmosphere was so stylised which I enjoyed.

Definitely the best movie I've seen so far in 2025. Amazing acting from all involved and brilliant cinematography, a film unlike any film I've seen before.

An excellent film. Suspenseful and intriguing

Most of this movie was a bit boring to me as it was mainly just vague suspense; However the last 15 minutes were excellent and really made up for it. The mythological references were really good and I liked the unique aspect ratio.

An entertaining story; it's always enjoyable to see Robert Pattinson acting, as the characters he plays are all unique from one another. I also enjoy sci-fi movies a lot, which helps. A thoroughly good watch, just felt overlong near the end (especially right towards the very end)

Excellent film! I'll it, it nearly lost me during the end as it was starting to feel overly long/dragged out, but it brought me back with the ending. The music soundtrack was also REALLY good, and a really interesting group of themes were explored.

Literally an excellent film on so many levels. The acting, the cinematography, the music - all excellent. As an ex-Catholic it had a distinctly nostalgic vibe to me lol. Definitely a great movie to start 2025 with!
