The awards for the Short Film Competition of the Accessible Film Festival 2025 #EFF2025 were presented at the Award Ceremony held at the Goethe-Institut Ankara. Hosted by Ege Kayacan, the event welcomed festival ers, representatives from the Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye, embassies, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, jury , film crews, of the press, and numerous guests. The ceremony was made accessible with sign language interpretation, live audio description and English translation.

As we approach the end of the first quarter of the 21st century, Accessible Film Festival 2025 #EFF2025 takes a closer look at the transformations of the past 25 years with its special section An Age in Flames — featuring talks, a photography exhibition, and film screenings.

#EFF2025 Short Film Competition Jury announced
15 finalist films in this year’s Short Film Competition bring stories from different cultures to Ankara. Selected from 165 submissions from 36 countries, the finalists are set to compete for Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay and the Audience Award — judged by both the festival jury and audiences.

#EFF2025 Filmfest Dresden presents: Fully Political
"Fully Political" – a selection curated by Filmfest Dresden, one of the leading short film festivals – will be screened at the Goethe-Institut Ankara between May 23–29, 2025. Filmfest Dresden, which recently brought together short filmmakers from all over the world for the 37th time, first took place in 1989.

#EFF2025 Four animations for children from Cinekid!
For Children selection has been curated this year by Cinekid, one of the oldest children's film festivals in the world. First held in 1986, Cinekid now reaches young film lovers at over 40 locations across the Netherlands.

The finalists for this year's Accessible Film Festival's Short Film Competition, in which 165 short films from 36 different countries submitted, are announced.
