EthanVilla’s review published on Letterboxd:
I always try and write decent reviews but it’s story time!
I don’t have a local cinema with an IMAX screen, the closet to me is in Belfast which is about an hour and 20 mins away, so I’ve only seen one movie in IMAX which was Ambulance in 2022 because I happened to be in Belfast at the time. I wanted last year to see Oppenheimer in IMAX but it’s a bit more money and effort to travel and see it and even though I really wanted to, I didn’t, but I said back then for Dune: Part Two I have to see it in IMAX. So this weekend I was in Belfast and asked my friend who I was staying with did they want to see it and they said yes, fucking get in!
I can’t put into words how spectacular this movie was already on a normal, smaller scale screen, but holy fuck this was life-changing. The visuals, the cinematography, the sound all left me breathless, the scene of Paul walking through the crowd and seeing that on the biggest possible screen, I could’ve died happy in that moment. I don’t need to see another film this year, we are alive during history!
Do you know how good this film is, it makes me want to read the books, what kind of movie does this?
