In 1970, three children are born at the height of a total eclipse. Due to the sun and moon blocking Saturn, which controls emotions, they have become heartless killers ten years later, and are able to escape detection because of their youthful and innocent facades. A boy and his teenage sister become endangered when they stumble onto the bloody truth.

Today is my birthday.
Twenty years ago I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Most of the left side of my body had become numb and I had limited use of my left hand. I got most of what was damaged in that initial episode back, and the injectible meds have been very effective for me. There have been a number of similar episodes but if you met me I bet you’d never know. My neurologist tells me I am one of “the lucky ones”. As ironic as that might sound, he is right. towards a "fuck dem kids" canon. not particularly bloody for a slasher but holy shit the procedural quality of the murder sequencing and the creepy as hell child performances send it over the top for me. viscerally gets under your skin without even needing to be graphic.
I thought I had never seen this but then everything seemed ever so slightly familiar and usually that means I did in fact see it before but in a drug and/or alcohol induced haze so if that’s the case then this really counts as a first watch. And I like it!
Kids are just awful, huh? I mean, imagine kids as they are but then also having absolutely no moral com and basically being like “oh i don’t like you so I’m going to kill you”. If I wasn’t one of those kids I would have never survived childhood and if I was then pretty much all the kids my age would be dead so there you are.

Like 90% of the reviews here I decided to finally watch "Bloody Birthday" on my Birthday. It also happened to be my 200th film of the year and my 3,500 overall. Completely coincidental, but I love it when numbers/stats sync up like that, it's oddly satisfying. Anyway, this was a dumb, fun slasher. Three little twerps cause mayhem because they were all born on the same day that an eclipse occurs, and this somehow makes them all inherently evil? Okay. I've seen worse plot set-ups in this genre, whether that's a good or bad thing solely depends on your sensibilities. Me? I live for this kind of dopey shit.
If astrology isn't real then explain this movie. I'll wait.

A decent slasher that borrows a fair bit from Halloween, except with three pint-sized killers wreaking havoc upon the otherwise tranquil suburbs. Despite some late 70s made-for-TV vibes, it manages to include most of the ingredients you'd expect from an early 80s slasher. There's at least one satisfyingly bloody kill and some suitably mean-spirited moments. I could have used a bit more atmosphere and some more blood but, overall, a trio of soulless, homicidal kids makes for a fun time.
Three evil brats, all born during the same eclipse, start murdering everyone they know, just wait until your father gets home!
A bit too goofy to be truly chilling, although there are a few moments where it's just plain weird seeing little kids murdering folks. Have to give it points for being somewhat original in the classic slasher era though.
Apparently I've seen this before long ago, but I have almost zero recollection of it.
