Rock & fucking roll!!!! This movie kicks ass. So outlandish and fun. Works just as well as camp as it does in earnest, frankly! Every song is a hit because Paul Williams is a king!!

Its like Rocky Horror but without the annoying theater kid audience and with more going for it than just camp. Beautiful analog technology complimented by Italian horror inspired colors, the whole thing looks like a giallo musical and it works really well. Can't believe I slept on this for so long.
ohhhhhh hmmmm simply the.....best movie ever made??????? non-stop literally perfect , music perfect, camp perfect, costumes perfect, set dec perfect (SISSY SPACEK DID SOME OF IT!!!!!!!!!) and my eyes eating the entire thing up like cake it's so beautiful
This is my favourite movie of all time -- one of the films that I will vehemently defend against all criticisms. I own the film on VHS and DVD; I imported the only blu ray version available from ; I own the soundtrack on CD and vinyl. I have a cult obsession with this film and I absolutely fucking adore every thing about it. I've seen it hundreds of times; this is my go-to film to put me in a good mood.
