lives up to the hype. really wonderful to see what can happen when a director of Coogler’s talent and ability gets this much creative control + funding. so much thought went into this movie. very happy that i stayed for the post credit scenes, which added so much to what the film had to offer regarding legacy, staying power, haunting, generational trauma, etc. glad that no promises were broken.

you can def see Coogler’s FBA politics here, which was interesting.…

visiting home means Nolan mockumentary with my mom! i have similar praise for this that i had for Waiting,,, which makes sense bc it’s pretty much the same cast and same general format. parker posey you’re a gem. she is one half of the most New England couple i’ve seen on the silver screen. jane lynch has never not played a lesbian and i want her to put a cigarette out on my bare skin. love and hate the gay couple. very funny and heartwarming as always. i still need to watch Spinal Tap and A Mighty Wind.

just one of the best to ever do it. god i love him so much. i simply don’t have the vocabulary to explain his level of talent and skill beyond highest caliber. put a finger down if you’ve ever gotten arrested for shooting up your wife’s car and then immediately made the stand-up special that defines the form for the next almost-half-a-century.

i actually cannot talk about this special like a normal person i end every single sentence with “ugh he’s the best”. only man who has made a rape joke i laughed at. he’s my lebron🐐🐐🐐
