Nolan said this is The Empire Strikes Back of the Dune franchise, but I propose a slightly different comparison: it's The Two Towers (which will mean different things to different people, yes). The two films definitely work best together, as a whole, but if epic action is what was missing for you in Dune: Part One - get ready to be blown away. Denis continues to impress, sign me up for Dune: Messiah ASAP.
