A lot of this could have been avoided if Mr. Reed had just gone to a UU church.

I kinda wish nothing nefarious happened and it was all the suspense for no pay off

I haven’t seen quite every version of Jane Eyre but this one is my favorite depiction of Jane and Mr. Rochester. You can actually understand why she fell in love with him versus other versions paint him to have no redeeming quality.

 Even with how long this movie is, they always barely touch on her time at Lowood with Helen. I just don’t understand why! Helen’s influence on who Jane becomes is integral to her story. I just want one accurate depiction in film! That is the only reason I can’t give this version 5 stars.

I feel like this movie would have thrived as a 2.5 hour slow burn but I still enjoyed it. The acting is phenomenal from top to bottom
