The cinema is essentially my church, and Malick the pastor to deliver one hell of sermon.

I wasn't in a good mood, and this movie didn't help much with that.
Maybe you have to in a certain mindset, but I got pretty sick and tired of the film's shtick. The characters were one note, the violence and action not staged all that well, and the humor didn't make me laugh. The performances were loud and lame. That's the risk with any exploitation flick, if it doesn't work for you, if you can't hop onto its frequency- it will really piss you off.

What's there to left to be said about this marvel of a movie?
It doesn't old, no matter how many times you watch it. And seeing it on a big screen - the tension, the kills, the characters work even better.

There's more wonder and creativity in three minute film than in the 3 hours of Interstellar.

There are better films that explore this subject with more nuance and consideration. The fact that it uses a twist of sorts to make its point felt cheap overall. There is value in reminding people of the issue at hand, and how hard it hits certain people in certain states, but dramatically it’s inert. 

Also, a terrible title for a film with this subject matter.
