The actors playing Moses and Zephyr gave performances that you’d expect to see in Outer Banks (*derogatory*), with the cringiest dialogue and romance plot. Despite that, I loved Jai Courtney in this as a shark obsessed serial killer, and I thought it was cool that the sharks were portrayed as animals rather than monsters like they are in other horror. I also saw this on the Gold Coast as a backpacker which added an extra layer to viewing experience. All in all it is a solid B-Movie horror.

“I traded my cat snuggles for a Princess Diana beanie baby.”
I really loved this and I’m not normally won over by American comedies. I thought the movie managed it’s tone so well to deal with grief and levity throughout. I also watched this at a packed cinema for the Sydney Film Fest so the vibe was great all round and it was just a great cinema experience.
