Other than Scream and the first season of The Following, I’m not the biggest Kevin Williamson fan... BUT I have really good memories of seeing this (which was actually penned before Scream) with my old best friend at our local 2$ movie theater in 1997 with a packed house of rowdy teenagers. 

A familiar yet solid story and a who’s who of mid to late 90’s familiar faces, this holds up better than I and although it’s always touted for its 90’s-ness… this is Spot in 80’s slasher bluprint movie. Sure, I prefer pre Scream 90’s Horror, but this stuff will always be fun and hold a special reminder of simplier times of my youth... movie theater meetups with friends, type o negative, and summer nights that never seemed to end—plus this movie gifted us with the most popular phrase everyone used that summer: I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER!
