A really bittersweet feeling to see David Lynch has ed but know that what he left with the world will live on forever. He was one of life’s very best creative minds and visonary artists and there is no way better to celebrate than to re-visit my favourite of his.

With Mulholland Drive there are an infinite number of new details and intricacies to pick up on each time you see it and then there are also things that will forever remain a mystery. In a way i think that encomes the beauty in what he thought was important.

Brimming with that dreamy nostalgic quality of a familiar place you’ve never been before.

Wow what an incredibly insufferable experience from all angles completely top to bottom. I’d rather get on all fours and bark at strangers in public for two hours than watch this again. One of the worst things my poor eyes have seen in recent memory.

Beyond nasty. Went into this blind and in hindsight was probably not the best choice of film to watch on a flight with two young children sat behind me but hey what can you do. It’s another great entry into the very niche sub genre of evil gut-punch cinema — setting out to have a desired effect on the viewer and ing with flying colours all while telling a grounded story based on true events — not just an exhibit for cheap shock and horror. Two knockout performances and one of my favourite scores of the last 10 years.

Ok so apart from the first 40-60 minutes feeling like 15 minute sequences of the start to multiple different Mission Impossible movies, this was good and i had a blast, a really enjoyable experience. Probably more so the experience and the actual weight the film was carrying are what’s won me over as of right now and to be totally honest i don’t see that changing. Was it everything i would’ve wanted from a final film to close out the…

Despite the subject matter and about everything else that makes this terrifying i never realised until now how funny it actually is in parts. Seeing it for an eighth time i want to say? it’s quite clear that this is right up there with the best of the best american epics and without doubt one of THE towering pieces of work this century thus far. I’m talking like top 5 movie of the last 25 years good.
