This movie gives us Tom Hanks playing basketball. What more could you want?

I miss this era of comedies. Andy Samberg is so silly.

For the second time this year I find myself turning to this movie for comfort while I am working at a time of day about which I am unhappy

Kobayashi’s storytelling seems to take inspiration from Kurosawa’s Rashomon plus a little bit more you could want from a samurai movie. I cannot believe this is Letterboxd’s #1 rated movie though. Seven Samurai is definitely better than this.
