Absolutely stunning. The film starts with a brilliant opening shot and it works it way through the Mexican/American border. Intertwining the both countries in this big dope ring, crime syndicate. 

Welles’ character, the famed detective with his ‘game leg’, navigates his way through the crime scenes looking for the killer. But ultimately, it wasn’t about the killer or the syndicate. It was about corruption and abuse of power (very Shakespearean). 

Welles’ character plants the evidence in a suspect’s house, etc.…

The actor for Blake is brilliant and all the little beautiful friendships he made were nice, like Amelie. He’s a stubborn character, but he’s a nice guy, and you want to help him and sympathise with him even more throughout the film.

Also, Katie is a very complex and interesting character as well. Shows the audience the perfect amount of information to feel impacted, but also get a good sense of…

I couldn't tell you why I loved that quote. I'm not even kidding, but I paused this absolute masterpiece against my instincts and wrote it down. He was afraid. Afraid of being a nobody, a somebody, an everybody, or who knows, a person who struggles and ends up a trivial pursuit question. Birdman was split, mentally then literally, he was the character of the year and maybe the century.

Howard Ratner is so annoying, because he consistently bets then wins, then bets again and he bets everything he has and eventually his going to lose. Despise Howard’s luck, he screws up his life so much by risking everything and begging just for a little more cash and a lot of danger.
