“Lead them to paradise”

All it took was one rewatch to realize all of this film’s genius. You can both long for Denis Villeneuve’s return to a smaller scale and be able to ascertain and bask in his bigger projects’ glory. It’s a monstrous story to tackle for a number of reasons and Denis makes sure to pack a punch every chance he can get. A fully realized world that really engages with both the source material and the general audience. It’s a level of respect to the fans and involved execution that’s just awesome to witness and get to be a part of. This viewing brought me to tears in a few places that even caught me by surprise! Phenomenal.
