Rafi James’s review published on Letterboxd:
Themes of adultery and the immorality of remarriage are intelligently portrayed within a runtime so short but so well structured that I wasn't bored for even a second. Also, there were some genuinely quite disturbing bits, especially with the ghost sequences, which were very powerful and I was not expecting in the slightest. All around very good samurai horror film which is still relevant to this day, perhaps even moreso. I truly think that this is a film which could be loved by many if only more people decided to sit down and watch it.
