I read the novel years ago and it's stuck with me all this time, not in exact moments outside of the most quoted ones but in the feeling that the story was a good one, and I love that Denis Villenueve has done these movies.  I'm sure there are some different parts in the book but these two movies to me feel like the most faithful adaptation we've seen.  

It's beautiful, heartbreaking, funny, and action packed.  I really hope that we get to the other books in the series eventually.  But if this makes the money that I think it is it'll be sooner than later that we go back to Arrakis.
