LBTQIA+ MOVIES AT THE PCC!

Following THE TIMES OF HARVEY MILK, we’re proud to continue spotlighting powerful, groundbreaking queer cinema throughout our programme with a curated strand titled LGBTQIA+ STORIES.

This section brings together a dynamic mix of essential classics, cult favourites, and boundary-pushing new work that speaks to the richness and diversity of queer experience on screen.

From the unhinged genius of John Waters’ MULTIPLE MANIACS to the poetic heartbreak of Wong Kar Wai’s HAPPY TOGETHER, this strand spans decades and styles. Barry Jenkins’ Oscar-winning MOONLIGHT returns to devastate and uplift in equal measure, while FOX AND HIS FRIENDS showcases Rainer Werner Fassbinder’s insight into class and desire. BUT I’M A CHEERLEADER brings colour and camp with its satirical take on conversion therapy, and Sean Baker’s TANGERINE remains a landmark in trans representation and guerrilla filmmaking. Brand-new additions like I SAW THE TV GLOW and the deeply radical CASTRATION MOVIE ANTHOLOGY 1: TRAPS continue pushing the conversation forward. Whether you're revisiting favourites or discovering something new, these are LGBTQI+ movies that matter.

Catch them all at the PCC over the next few months!
