While not breaking any new ground in of documentary film-making, and with some mixed messaging given the NETFLIX of it all, this is an informative look at the history of queer comedy in its many forms and where things are headed with some nice recognition of performers past and present. There are far too many to name, but it's a who's who of queer comedy with many old favorites who led the way, the big stars who took the ball and ran, and the new generation of up and comers. Been meaning to get to this for awhile and I finally have.
Had no idea Céline Sciamma was a co-writer so that was a pleasant surprise as I'm a huge fan.
Loved everything about this! A very sweet, heartbreaking, hopeful little film. Looks great and I thought all the nice characters were charming and wonderful. There's a special place in my heart for the Simons of the world.
