An astounding lead performance from Adarsh Gourav, a scathing screenplay, and an incendiary indictment on economic inequity. I was absolutely riveted by the righteous rage in The White Tiger, and there are some scenes that I won’t be able to shake for quite some time. The phrase “movie of the moment” is overused at this point, but it truly does feel like this film focuses on the woes of wealth disparity better than any cinematic story since Parasite. Really wish this had more awards season heat, because it’s a winner.
