Truly a pleasure to sing the praises of Do The Right Thing and talk briefly about a timeless tale of prejudice and pain in our latest article at Loud and Clear.

It’s impossible to have all the answers at a moment like this, but through art, we can come to a deeper understanding of experiences outside our immediate environment, and we can begin a conscious effort to change our actions for the better.

Very proud to be a part of this piece.

“Left-Hand Hate KOed by Love.”

Painfully prescient and instantly iconic. Spike’s magnum opus.

I know, I know.

This rating is probably sacrilegious.

However, while I found Lawrence of Arabia to be BEYOND beautiful (simply some of the most stunning cinematography I’ve ever seen), I... was so absolutely emotionally detached throughout almost the entire elongated runtime.

Sadly found this to be the least accessible of any of Kubrick’s works that I’ve watched thus far, but willing to it that this is likely due to my lack of familiarity  with the historical context, as well as having a fair bit of the humor fly over my head.

Certainly still splendidly shot (though much less visually striking than 2001 or A Clockwork Orange) and excellently acted, but overall, this is likely one I appreciate more than outright adore.
