High School Musical: The Musical: The Series standout Sofia Wylie gives her all in the lead role, but sadly, The School for Good and Evil is ultimately about as inspired and interesting as its generic title.
Mila Kunis remains as magnetic a lead as ever in Luckiest Girl Alive, but the script is far too scattered - and at times, sensationalistic - to her spunky performance.

Appreciated what this was about wayyy more than how it was about it. A creative take on tackling the refugee crisis, but I simply couldn’t connect with the offbeat and elusive tone, making for an uninvolving watch all-around, unfortunately.
Watching this at 1 am while under the influence of roughly a thousand pain meds was... a choice

Despite a strong start and a cool concept, Strange World fumbles the bag after its first act and never digs deeper into its characters or themes beyond the surface level. The dialogue is dry, the plot is plain, and the overall journey is kinda joyless. Nice to look at though, I guess? (And I hate that such authentic LGBTQ+ representation isn’t in a better film.)
Definitely irable for bringing some much-needed diversity to this subgenre of “kid-friendly adventure flicks,” but sadly, the story is too safe and stereotypical (with a script full of stilted dialogue) to transcend its familiar trappings and leave an impression of its own.
Though one thing is for certain... Lonnie Chavis is GOING PLACES.
Though not without a spine-chilling set-up, The Feast ultimately emphasizes its eerie atmosphere over engaging storytelling, often alienating its audience as a result.

While The United States vs. Billie Holiday had the potential to be an exciting exploration into this musical legend’s legacy, the movie ultimately misses its mark - despite Andra Day’s best efforts in the title role.

This and Apollo 11 are such formidable feats of footage recovery and yet... I cannot bring myself to care about either, and I never feel emotionally invested in any respect? Probably just a “not for me” thing. Wish I appreciated it as much as the rest of y’all 😪
I’m quite fond of the filmmaking here, but aside from that, I unfortunately found The Truffle Hunters to be really redundant as a whole. There’s sincerity in its storytelling, but little to truly attach to, which left me adrift in the end. I can see why some have come to really cherish it, but it’s one of those “not for me” movies - c’est la vie!
